We are Koen Huijbrechts (left) and Menno Plate (right) and we manage our own company KM Internet in Holland.
We love the country of Italy as a holiday destination and we have been going there very frequently during the last decades. Menno (41) does speak Italian quite well and Koen (37) is studying the language. We have both explored many destinations in Italy and we admire Italy for its wonderful landscapes, delicious food, hospitable people, relaxed climate and her splendid beaches.
We are very close friends for already 15 years and in 2011 we got the idea to start a website about a budget destination in Italy. This resulted in the production of our first Italian website in Dutch “Pescara.nl”.
As we went to Pescara and the Abruzzo region for several times last year, we got in contact with many owners of holiday farmhouses, the so called “Agriturismo”. During this periode we were contacted by Dante Melchiore, owner of an agriturismo in Abruzzo and frontman and representative of around 50 “Agriturismi di qualita in Abruzzo” (the best farmhouses in Abruzzo) to start a collaboration.
This was a nice opportunity for us and we started the collaboration in 2011, which resulted in our new website (2012) “Agriturismoabruzzo.co.uk”.
Since last year we have visited many agriturismo in Abruzzo and we are frequently in contact with the owners. As you can see we already have some gorgeous holiday farmhouses at our website, to be extended this year. From now on you can also make a booking request for your favorite agriturismo directly at our website.
